Biji Alam Awards Ceremony 2024 28 November, Temu House
After the speeches by co-founder Natalie Yong and judge Dr Dionysius Sharma, who were introduced by the host of the evening, Chacko Vadaketh, came the highlight of the event - the prize giving of the trophies to our worthy winners, in the setting of the lovely Temu House, PJ. Our worthy winners Dr. Jo Leen Yap (above) and Dr. Chong Ju Lan ( below) gave a heartfelt speech about their life and passions. The audience also got to see an informative film of their work, saving dusky langurs and pangolins respectively, prepared by our generous partners HandyJobs TV. We learnt not only about their successes but also the difficulties carrying out their work.
After a closing speech by co-founder Dr.Teckwyn Lim, there was lots of time for photos and mingling with guests and press over drinks and dinner, prepared by talented Sabahan chef Marge.
